Custom Carving- Washington Totem Pole
A lady requested this carving (pictured left), asking that it be modelled after a particular totem pole which she and her husband saw in a restaurant in Washington, D.C. (pictured right)
Instead of using yellow cedar for this project, as I usually do, I opted to carve this totem pole out of alder. As always, it is mounted on Western red cedar, varnished with boiled linseed oil, and bottomed with genuine Harris tweed.
